Comcast CEO Brian Roberts saw his compensation package reach a four-year high in 2023 at nearly $35.5 million, writes Ryan Mulligan for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Roberts’ total compensation in 2023 was an 11 percent increase from 2022.

The increase is tied to the value of stock awards, options and incentive pay. However, his base salary stayed at $2.5 million.

This marked the first time since 2019 that Roberts’ total compensation surpassed $35 million. That year, he made $36.4 million.

Comcast’s compensation committee said in a proxy statement that Roberts provided “invaluable long-term vision and stability” for the company and “sets the tone for [the] business to execute at the highest level.”

Roberts is the highest-paid executive at Comcast, with President Mike Cavanaugh coming in second last year at $29.6 million.

Jason Armstrong, Comcast’s CFO, made $11.6 million in 2023, his first year in Comcast’s top financial position.

Overall, Comcast posted a $15.4 billion profit in 2023, marking a significant increase from $5.4 billion the year prior.
