Wm. Mulherin’s Sons Brings New Pizzeria To Midtown Village With Opening of Sister Location
Wm. Mulherin’s Sons has opened a new sister location in Midtown Village in Center City to join its original location in Fishtown, writes Michael Tanenbaum for PhillyVoice.
Called Mulherin’s Pizzeria, the eatery replicates much of the menu and casual ambiance of its original location. However, there is a greater emphasis on the restaurant’s wood-fired pizza selections.
The new pizzeria is located on the ground floor of a mixed-use building on Ludlow Street, where Roost East Market has an extended-stay hotel.
Beyond its smokey and charred pizzas, Mulherin’s Pizzeria’s all-day menu will have a mix of handmade pastas, small plates, and both lunch and dinner specials. Italian wines and cocktails will also be available.
The original location in Fishtown opened its doors in 2016 at a former whiskey blending and bottling facility. The new Center City location has an open kitchen and design elements that harken back to the traditions of the Philadelphia Pure Rye Whiskey Distillery.
Mulherin’s Pizzeria is the latest restaurant to open from the Method Co. team and will be led by chef Sean McPaul.
