Former Farmer, Mother of 2, Launches Nutritious Meal Pickup and Delivery Service in East Falls
Victoria Lindchan is a former farmer who recently launched Earthside Provisions, a meal pickup and delivery service based out of an East Falls kitchen, writes Ali Mohsen for Billy Penn at WHYY.
The main catalyst for her becoming a small business owner was becoming a parent.
When family and friends would bring her “delicious” food during her first pregnancy, she became concerned.
“The value of nutrition at that point wasn’t where I necessarily needed it to be, as a mom and after birthing a child,” said Lindchan.
As a result, during her second pregnancy 18 months later at the start of the pandemic, she prepared by stocking her freezer with cases of her homemade bone broth and setting a meal plan.
Lindchan continued making broths after her second child’s birth, as well as soups and tea blends to share with other mothers in her community.
This eventually led to the launch of Earthside Provisions.
The menu focuses on easily digestible, nutrient-dense foods. Ingredients are all organic and, when possible, locally sourced.
“It’s been a really wonderful, and prosperous, and nourishing venture for myself and my family,” said Lindchan.
