Phoenixville Gets New Coffee Shop, Bakery Thanks to Nonprofit Organizations Coming Together

By

260 Bridge Cafe is Phoenixville’s newest coffee shop and bakery located on the former site of the Black Walnut Winery, writes Justin Heinze for Patch.

The cafe is alive thanks to the contribution of Partners Creating Community, an organization of several nonprofits in the area that work together to improve the lives and opportunities of individuals with disabilities.

They have helped establish three Phoenixville-based businesses other than 260 Bridge Cafe, including Green Lion Breads, Heart Stone Coffee, and opened Frog Hollow Farm where they added Pear Tree Coffee Roasters.

Like the other businesses, the cafe offers a way to conduct educational and vocational programs for those who are different intellectually or developmentally or may have mental health challenges.

260 Bridge Cafe strives to stay local and sustainable when it comes to ingredients and often utilizes items from Partners Creating Community’s other initiatives.

Some things on the menu include bagels, pastries, campfire cookies, parfaits from Phoenixville’s Pure Joy Creamery, and milk from Pottstown’s Pigeon Creek Farms.
