Al Pastor Restaurant Set to Open Thursday in Havertown

By

Al Pastor, a modern Mexican-themed restaurant and tequila bar, will officially open Thursday at 13 W. Benedict Ave. in Havertown, writes Emma Dooling for Philadelphia Business Journal.

It’s the second Al Pastor restaurant opened by the Stove and Co. Restaurant Group. The original in Exton opened in 2017.

The restaurant seats about 80 people in a 3,600-square-foot indoor space. In warmer weather, patrons can use a 70-seat, 3,000-square-foot pergola-covered outdoor patio.

You’ll find 12 varieties of tacos and signature dishes at Al Pastor Havertown, including Mexican fried rice, Mexican ramen, and tuna ceviche tostada.  For dnnks, there are assorted margaritas, beers and cocktails.

The interior design from Balongue Designs includes sombrero light fixtures, bright wall tiles, and vintage Mexican movie posters.

The restaurant will initially create 50 jobs, with 20 to 30 more when the outdoor section opens.

“We are looking forward to what we will bring to this community not just as a reliable restaurant, but as an active community member. We feel at home in Havertown and can’t wait to spend many years as a trusted partner,” said co-owner Joe Monnich in a statement.
