Dedicated fashion entrepreneur Shavon Lewis is making waves in the fashion industry with Closet Babe, a Coatesville store where she ensures that women of all body types have an empowering shopping experience, writes Monica Ferguson for 19320 GO! 

Lewis, who is an impassioned advocate for body positivity, curated a collection of fashion-forward, trend-setting clothing for Closet Babe, where she offers sizes S to 3X. She also encourages her customers to embrace their unique style and exude confidence, which helps them feel comfortable in their skin. 

After falling in love with fashion, Lewis pursued a bachelor’s degree in Fashion Marketing at the Art Institute of Philadelphia. She then created an online platform for young Black women with curves on which she was able to provide them with stylish clothing options. 

She took her online business to the next level in 2021 with highly successful pop-up shops across the Philadelphia tri-state area. In 2022, she opened her first brick-and-mortar location in the esteemed Made in Coatesville building. 

Lewis, who is a West Chester resident, also serves as an administrative assistant at 2nd Century Alliance in Coatesville.
