A metal, door-shaped object was found on the roof of a Mount Airy home that left the homeowner and its residents asking many questions, reports NBC 10 Philadelphia staff.

The main question: What is it?

Fabian Lima, a resident of the home, initially wondered if the object might be the door that could have fallen onto his home from a plane.

“I didn’t ever really think that’s what it was, but it looked so much like that that it had to be investigated,” he said.

The family called the FAA with concerns. 

However, all the investigators who visited the home told them was that it was a metal object and they should hold onto it until given the all-clear from the agency.

A day later, the FAA said the object didn’t come from any known aircraft.

To date, there is still no clear indication of what exactly the metal object is, so questions remain.
