African American Museum of Bucks County Seeks $2 Million for Restoration, Set to Open 2025

By

After a decade-long search for a permanent residence, the African American Museum of Bucks County is finally setting roots at Boone Farm, writes Damon C. Williams for the Bucks County Courier Times.

This site once served as an essential part of the Underground Railroad history within Core Creek Park, Middletown.

The museum, slated to open in spring 2025, is undergoing restoration to breathe new life into the 17th-century farmhouse.

The first phase of the project will be focusing on the facade and interior construction and will be finished by late spring.

The second phase will see the interior being further developed by the museum. The museum is currently trying to raise $2 million to complete the restoration.
