Zach Gelb is the host of the Zach Gelb Show on CBS News Radio.

At 29 years old, Zach Gelb has already accomplished a lot in the sports radio world, an industry that’s in his blood because of his father, writes Peter Schwartz for Barrett Sports Media.

He first met Gelb in 2012 when the latter was in high school, and even then, Schwartz thought Gelb sounded like a seasoned professional.

Today, Gelb is the host of his own show for CBS Sports Radio afternoon drive.

It took many steps to get to where he is now.

After graduating from Temple University in 2016, Gelb was hired as Program Director and host for Fox Sports Radio 920 in New Jersey. He then went on to host the Philadelphia Eagles postgame show for 97.5 The Fanatic in 2017 before joining CBS Sports Radio as their weekend overnight host a year later.

No matter the role, the same philosophy has always applied.

“I’ve always approached — regardless of what the time slot is — as if it was the dream job,” said Gelb.

The dream started at 8 years old and Gelb has worked to make it a reality ever since.

“Hopefully I still have a long run at this and I don’t take any day for granted,” he said.
