Philadelphia is one of the top 10 cities to visit, according to the recently released “Where to Go in 2024” list by AFAR Magazine.

While each of the cities are unique in its own multitude of ways, each of them share common traits that inspire human connection and creativity that will define the travel experience.

Two specific factors are listed as to why Philadelphia is a place to visit.

“Travelers who love food and art should make a beeline to Philly this year,” writes Amy Eckert. 

This year, Philly racked up more James Beard Foundation Awards than any other city, which speaks volumes to the quality of the city’s culinary scene.

Whether its Friday Saturday Sunday, which won Outstanding Restaurant; or Kalaya, which won Chutatip Suntaranon the Best Chef: Mid-Atlantic Award, the options are plentiful.

Philly is also highly regarded for its art scene, with the Rodin Museum, Philadelphia Museum of Art, and The Barnes Foundation as among its top destinations that will be unveiling a slate of new exhibitions over the coming months.
