Folds of Honor Celebrates the Season of Giving with Heartwarming Scholarship Presentations
In a moving display of gratitude and remembrance, the Eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey Chapter of Folds of Honor recently brought the joy of the holiday season to the families of fallen and disabled service members and first responders through the gift of education.
The above video captures these poignant moments, showcasing the true spirit of the season.
Founded in 2007 by Lt. Col. Dan Rooney, an F-16 fighter pilot and PGA professional, Folds of Honor has been steadfast in its mission to provide educational scholarships to the spouses and children of those who have fallen or been disabled during their service. To date, the organization has awarded over 51,000 scholarships, amounting to more than $240 million, touching lives in all 50 states.
This Christmas, the Eastern PA & NJ Chapter of Folds of Honor continues this legacy. Though scholarships are typically given in the summer and available funds exhausted, 25 new qualified scholarship recipients are being presented with their award letters thanks to additional donations from the region. These donations ensure the continuation of the educational journeys for these special family members. Each scholarship represents not just financial support, but a nation’s acknowledgment of the sacrifices these families have made.
