Center City District is Moving to the Land Title Building on South Broad Street
After nearly two decades in the Public Ledger building downtown, Center City District will soon move its offices to the Land Title Building, writes Jake Blumgart for The Philadelphia Inquirer.
“The benefit of the new space is that it will put CCD at a location at the center of downtown,” said Paul Levy, president of Center City District.
In the new location, CCD will be situated closer to Dilworth Park, Sister Cities Park, Cret Park, and John F. Collins Park.
The Land Title Building is one of South Broad Street’s premier retail locations, which has been mostly empty since 2019.
The Avenue of the Arts is still recovering from the pandemic, and the addition of Center City District can help things to continue moving in a positive direction.
Alex Schwartz, president of ASI Management, which owns the Land Title Building, believes CCD’s presence will help liven South Broad Street.
“The Center City District is a well-established organization that will bring stability to a prime Broad Street retail location,” he said.
The CCD’s new lease will last 10 years and the move is expected to take place by mid-2024.
