The love story of Josh Shapiro, the governor of Pennsylvania and his wife Lori, Pennsylvania’s First Lady, started back in high school in Montgomery County and the high school sweethearts have been together ever since, according to the PA Governor’s Office.

They met in the 9th grade and now they have four children — Sophia, Jonah, Max, and Reuben — and serve Pennsylvania together.

Lori Shapiro is no stranger to the importance of public service. She has a master’s degree in science, technology and public policy from George Washington University and served at The White House Office of Science and Technology Policy during the Clinton Administration.

She also worked with the President’s Information Technology Advisory Committee and served as the liaison between the President’s Information Technology Advisory Committee and The White House.

Volunteering in the community is also very important to her, especially with organizations working to address hunger and poverty.

As First Lady, she has continued to live a life of service, using her platform to recognize Pennsylvanians making a difference in their communities.

She currently serves as Honorary Chair of the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition and is a member of the board of the Philadelphia Art Museum.
