Philadelphia Eagles Are Looking for New Cheerleaders
If you ever dreamed of helping cheer on the Eagles in front of thousands of fans, now is your chance, writes Hannah Gross for NBC10 Philadelphia.
The Birds have started the process of hiring new members for their cheerleading squad for the upcoming season.
However, it is important to note that Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleaders are not simply relegated to the sidelines. They instead serve as brand ambassadors for the team as well as its entertainers who represent the birds all year round. This year, Eagles cheerleaders got the opportunity to perform in Arizona at Super Bowl LVII.
The team has also said in a statement that cheerleaders serve as role models through their participation in Eagles youth programs. In addition, they raise awareness as well as funds for important causes like the Eagles Autism Foundation.
Those who join the Eagles cheerleader squad will represent the team at various events, instruct youth clinics and fitness classes, be active on the team’s social media, entertain audiences during home games, and attend training, meetings, and rehearsals, among other activities.
Open call auditions will run through April 16.
